Breakfast or not

We all know the struggle that when we have a convention weekend, we barely to nothing eat. Which actually isn’t that good to do.. but why are we still doing this?

Simple,  we have so much excitement, nervous feelings, etc. for the day/weekend that you forget the most important thing; to eat something. This is very well recognizable for myself as well. I always take those kinds of snacks with me to eat somewhere in between. And it’s a miracle when there’s more than 1 eaten, because of all activities, etc, through the day I literally forget.

Therefore, a good breakfast in the morning is an absolute must. When I book my hotel, I always check if breakfast is included. Because then I know that I start the day already good. And I have to say, that hotels do have good breakfast buffets. Which are also very comprehensive, so for everyone is something to eat.

I also take care I go on time to the breakfast area. So after breakfast, I’ll have some extra time to prepare myself for another convention day.

This takes care, that even when you don’t eat anything the rest of the day, you will have enough energy. As long you drink enough; take a bottle of water in your bag to stay hydrated through the day. At the convention itself is always a moment where you can get something to eat. Then you can take that extra snack. But drinking is even more important, especially when your convention is around/in the summer months.

My advice in this to you all is to take a good breakfast beforehand. Check with your hotel if it’s included with your booking. And otherwise, request this extra. You can better pay a little more for breakfast. Then fainting because you haven’t eaten anything…

It also gives you that extra energy in the (early) morning to start your convention in a positive way.
