Film & Manga Fest Rotterdam was held on the 23th and 24th of March 2024

Time for another convention in The Netherlands, but with a German organization. An organization who are very well known in Germany for their several German Comic Conventions. This one in Rotterdam was a small one; there was 1,5 hall with stands of merch and for artists. 1 hall where you could meet the actors of this edition, but also several prop photobooths of several series. And ofcourse the photobooth booth was in this hall. For the panels they had another hall, which was really well managed. In that way you didn´t had any other background noises from the merchandise/artist hall.

Right before the activities with the several guests started, there was a small opening panel. A panel where they announced and welcomed all guests one by one. In my eyes, more conventions need to do this. Because you don´t know always a specific actor and with just a small introduction you can know already a lot. After this the activities like autographs/selfies, photo sessions, panels and meetings started.

During this convention there where also several 1-1 meetings. A meeting with just you and an actor of your choice. You can read more about this 1-1 meeting(s) in my blog post from the 23th of May ´25 (https://conventionlives.com/2025/05/23/1-1-meet/).

I only had extra´s for 1 guest here and because the convention was small, there was enough time to walk around as well and visiting the different stands. But also for just chilling and having a fun time with your friends as well.

With this all together, it makes this convention a comfortable weekend. Where there was a lot of space to have a small break, to walk around the different merchandise stands, to catch up which artists where there and to make lots of other magical memories.
