I think it´s something from the last few years that more and more conventions have those fast-lane tickets. At both general as the official conventions I´m seeing these popping up in the ticketshop. But what is a fast-lane ticket now exactly?
A fast-lane ticket is an extra ticket you can buy and where you can actually skip the long(er) lines for autograph and photo sessions. There is another line, not that long. Because many people just go for the actual line and don´t buy a fast-lane ticket. And you can enter a photobooth and autograph table faster, because you can go as first after the people with VIP tickets have entered.
For those fast-lane tickets, you have to pay extra, and it isn´t an entry ticket. You still need to buy an entry ticket for the convention as well! It´s also possible to get a fast-lane ticket for 1 day. Most of the time, you check which day is the most busy for you, and for that day, you get this fast-lane ticket. Your ticket will be ¨replaced¨ for a pass or bracelet that says fast-lane, and so others will notice you can go first.
The reason that I go for a fast-lane ticket has more to do because of physical reasons. Which can result in being even more exhausted at the end of the day/weekend. And to make this less I go for those kinds of tickets as well, which are practically helpful for me already.
