Ending 2024 with one last convention, the first weekend of December. This time the travel goes to Dortmund, Germany. And after a little train error, with almost ending in the North of Germany.. I noticed it lucky enough on time and could switch fast to the right train. A little later then planned I arrived good on time in Dortmund, where I attend the German Comic Con a second time, after 5 years.
The convention area of Dortmund is big, and I mean really big. There are several halls with merchandise stands. But also the guests are ¨spread¨ over 2 halls, and 1 hall is reserverd for the panels. When you go upstairs you come with the rooms where the meet & greets are held. So for this convention it´s very practical to check the map and time schedules right before you enter the convention. And when you have some time, walk around through the halls, so you will find out even better where everything is.
At this edition they also had the opportunity to buy fast lane tickets. And because I know how big this convention is, I had those tickets as well. Which where a real relief I got those. With fast lane tickets you can skip the long lines at autograph and photo sessions and simply enter a (more) shorter line. In that way you don´t have to stand up that long, and so you won´t become really tired/exhausted.
And even it is a big and busy convention, I managed it to catch up with walking around through every hall. Next of different extra´s I had, as in photos, autographs/selfies, meet & greet and visiting panels. The panels I wanted to watch where both days at the end of the day, so it was also a good way to end the day.
